The boys giggle in bed. Nate checks directions for tomorrow. And I update the blog. We fit our family roles to a tee.
Tonight we are in Jackson, Mississippi (M-I-SS-I-SS-I-PP-I). Brayden knows how to spell Mississippi. We're more than half way toward our final destination of Destin, Florida. If all goes well we'll be there by just after lunch tomorrow.
Every day for the past three months Beau has asked if today is the day for vacation. And today was the day! My dad was absolutely as excited as Beau. I hear he (Dad) hasn't slept well in two nights just thinking about it. Those two are like two peas in a pod. I can't wait to get to the condo and for them, Brayden, Mazy and Ele to head off to the beach. How much fun there is waiting for us.
So I'll try to post some while we're away. I don't know if I'll have a connection. I sooo miss working at Sprint in times like this. It's hard to live without an air card once you get used to being always connected.
THUD. Brayden just fell off of the bed into the floor. The giggles continue from both of them. Today's 8-hour trip through all of Arkansas, a bit of Louisiana and into Mississippi was actually really good. I guess we got the boys used to it on the Colorado trip last year. They were amazing today. A quick stop at a McDonald's playland surely helped the situation.
So that's it. We're headed to Destin. Oh, and we finally got the signatures and final agreement on the Blue Springs house as we were driving out of town. That was a nice little pre-vacation present. Here's what happens in our crazy lives.
We're in Florida until next Saturday when we drive straight back to Bentonville. We finish packing the house we live in on Sunday. The movers come Monday morning to move us a mile down the road. At some point on Monday we have to leave that situation and go to the title company to close on the Blue Springs house (keep your fingers crossed and us in your prayers). Oh, and I have a meeting with the Executive Vice President of HR for the company at 4 on Monday. Thanks to Grandma Zellers for coming down to keep the boys under control while we spin out of control.
Surely life will commence to something called normal soon. We'll see. Good night from Jackson!
