Today in Madrid we’d planned to go to the Palace, but a surprise rainstorm foiled those plans. Instead, we went to the Chiefs House and hung with other Chiefs fans - including one from Mallorca, Spain who has been a Chiefs fan for 10 years and is also a Royals fan. She has a dream to come to KC to go to the games and has heard it’s “the most beautiful city in the U.S.” π€·π»♀️ Note: the NFL game is Washington vs Miami but they have a few of these gathering spots for other NFL teams - Chiefs and Jags that we know about.
We sat under umbrellas at a cafe and had tapas while it rained (Nate got a little wet).
And we went to a Flamenco show that started at 10:30 pm π³ (on the day I flew in from Chicago π³π³). It was unlike anything we’ve seen or heard. Super cool, and I’m so grateful to Carlie for recommending it. She and I had sangria, and we all agreed the music was like acapella but through clapping and dancing, along with the guitar. So cool.
